Centre Director receives ESHG Education Award 2013July 3rd, 2013 by NGGEC
Professor Peter Farndon, director of The National Genetics Education and Development Centre, has been given a prestigious award for education from the European Society of Human Genetics.
In front of 3,000 delegates at the European Human Genetics Conference on June 11th 2013, Professor Dian Donnai, Professor of Medical Genetics in The University of Manchester, read out a citation before presenting the Education Award of the European Society of Human Genetics. The ESHG Education Award honours excellence and outstanding contributions in internationally-recognized human genetics education. The citation reviewed Professor Farndon’s achievements and particularly commented on how his innovations and initiatives have had a significant impact in education and patient care.
