RCGP resources and publications
e-GP: e-learning for General Practice is an e-learning resource developed by the RCGP in partnership with e-Learning for Health (e-LfH), providing a programme of interactive e-learning modules structured around the RCGP curriculum for general practice. e-GP is linked with each AiT's ePortfolio, so that once an e-GP session has been completed, this will automatically be entered into the 'learning log' of the ePortfolio.
The 'Genetics in Primary Care' module is based on the 'Genetics in Primary Care' curriculum statement 6, and outlines how genetics impacts on primary care practice. The 'Genetics in Primary Care' module currently contains 7 sessions, incorporating:
- conditions from the knowledge base
- patient-based scenarios
- practical learning activities
InnovAiT is a journal for the Associates in Training (AiT's) of the Royal College of General Practitioners that promotes excellence in primary care and quality education. Articles covering aspects of 'Genetics and Primary Care' were published in the August 2008 issue.
