Variable expressivity refers to variation in the type and severity of clinical features of a genetic disorder between individuals with the same genetic mutation, even within the same family. Variable expressivity is particularly common in autosomal dominant conditions. Examples include Neurofibromatosis Type I and Tuberous Sclerosis Complex.
